All community members understand that literacy is the gateway to success, and are engaged in and promoting “learners to earners” literacy culture.

Families make school attendance a monthly goal because every day counts, start to finish.
 

“What does it take for stakeholders to under- stand the importance of attendance such that they take action to ensure that kids are going to school on time every day?

All educators are proficient in the science of teaching and reading, thereby creating enough quality classrooms to meet the needs of 21st-century learners, birth to 3rd grade.

"What does it take to scale the number of high quality birth through third grade classrooms such that all students have access to a 21st-century teaching and learning environment based on the science of literacy?"

All children in need from Pre-K through grade 3 will be provided impactful academic extended learning opportunities (in school, afterschool and summer).

Our Moonshot Community is united in advocating for making birth to third grade an essential service and top priority supported by sustainable funding.

Our parents are trained as their child’s first teacher knowing that learning begins at birth.

“What does it take for our parents and caregivers to have awareness about developmental milestones and the skills necessary to support these such that all children are ready for kindergarten?”

Literacy is recognized as a social determinant of health. Children will have access to medical care bridging the gap between health and literacy.
