Our 2022 “Faces of Early Literacy - Today’s Readers are Tomorrow’s Leaders” was supported by our county and city officials and leaders.

Our Moonshot Moment Literacy Movement’s MCAN (Moonshot Community Action Network) has continuously been recognized as a national Pacesetter by the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading.

Our new Moonshot Family Partner campaign provides businesses and local leaders with an easy opportunity to support families to Read, Talk, Sing, Play, and Create with their children.

Systems-Level Impact

The School District of Indian River County's ranking grew from 26th to 12th highest in the state for our 3rd grade reading.

Our school district utilizes data to ensure we can rapidly identify and support students and educators.

Our county’s United Way is leading a workforce housing initiative so that we will be able to attract and retain quality educators.
Family Support

MCAN Partners collaboratively work together to support families and to provide quality education to our youngest learners, starting at birth.

Our District and community partners have established Dodgertown Elementary as a Community School to provide supports directly to students and their families.
